A lot of the time we ask God for miracles. We ask God for help.
And the truth is, a lot of the time He’s waiting on us to take the action required in the physical to kick those miracles into gear. He’s waiting for us to:
Have those tough but necessary conversations
Make space for the things that matter
Make the changes necessary to live a healthy lifestyle
Learn a new skill to change our career path
Research how to start our own business
Be good stewards of our finances
God made us as conscious, sentient, intelligent beings. He created our minds with the ability to reshape itself; rewrite its patterns and thoughts. He created our bodes to heal and regenerate when it gets the nutrients it needs.
He has designed our very genetics to allow genes to switch on and off based on OUR lifestyle choices.
He has designed laws of nature and frameworks for success in business, relationships, and finances.
Often, He wants us to work WITH Him on miracles instead of waiting solely on Him for miracles. Sometimes miracles work slowly in our understanding of time. But we forget that to God a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. He does not always work within the restraint of our understanding of time.
Because when we learn to have faith and lean into God, when we learn to work with God on all manner of miracles, we learn to live our lives as if it were one big miracle. A canvas of possibility and delight where heaven meets earth and we get to create and love together with the God of the universe. I believe that’s what He’s wanted all along.
For us to be co-laborers with Christ.
That’s why He went to the trouble of planning out the Gospel (arguably the greatest miracle of all time), so we could be co-conspirators with Him not only in our own lives, but in the greater work of bringing Light and Love to the world.
Friend, what is God waiting on you to do today? What miracle is He asking you to co-labor with Him on? What is the first step you need to take in faith to set the flame to the fire? What are you waiting for?
