scripture inspiration: John 13:1-17
To wash each other’s feet daily is to serve each other in humility. To be conduits of the Living Water as we stoop low, offering cleansing and healing in our touch to wash away the dust and grime of daily life.
In this way we bring holiness and love.
To affirm again and again the new covenant of salvation and grace that has been passed from Christ to us.
So that when we have served each other in this way: we are well-equipped to walk in the gospel of Peace. To walk confidently barefoot into the holiest of holies; in the inner room. To worship God and stand holy in His holy presence.
This is how we practice what Jesus has preached; this is how we emulate the Teacher in our own lives. And in so doing we reach out into the golden field ripe to bursting with blessing, holding bushels of joy in our arms, scattering seeds to the ground again to plant new life.
