Reading: Luke 1:20-24
What strikes me brilliantly as I think of the things I read is the sheer ordinariness of the lives people are leading when God reaches in and speaks. How He weaves His divinity in with our humanity: how Jesus is the culmination of this divinity-humanity combo.
People go about their work, their everyday lives, and God is involved intimately in this plain-jane everydayness.
When God opens the portal for heaven here on earth: it’s a whole different place where angels speak to ordinary men. Promises are fulfilled, the impossible becomes possible. Life replaces death; fullness fills the mptiness.
Lord: thank You. Thank You. I open myself up to You and invite You into intimacy with me, in all areas of my life. Holy Spirit: please rearrange, transform, inform. Help me live in Kingdom reality, weave Your divinity into my humanity. Bring Your Heaven to my earth in every way.
