Reading: Luke 1:10-14
Key Takeaway: Even when we give up hope and stop praying for something, Father God perseveres and blesses at the right time.
My notes/observations on the passage:
A crowd gathered at the appointed time of sacrifice to worship. We need to gather together to pray and worship.
An angel appeared suddenly, standing between the incense and the lap. Messengers of God appear in the midst of prayer, worship, scripture. God talks to us through these vehicles.
Sometimes when God speaks to us or appears to us it can be overwhelming, but God tells u us not to fear and reassures us.
Abba hears our prayers, even the ones we have grown tired of praying, stopped praying. The prayers we’ve given up on because they seem impossible. Thankfully, Abba doesn’t give up hope. He always remembers, always hopes, always perseveres. Because He is love and Love always remembers, always hopes, always perseveres.
After 400 years of waiting for the Messiah, the people were weary & doubtful but God did not forget – did not disappoint when the people were living under the burdens of legalistic rule and the difficulty of daily life.
God’s answers to prayer in our lives brings renewed hope; they bring overflowing joy and gladness and so much goodness and beauty. Not just to the one whose prayer is answered, but to the whole world that benefits from the blessings of Yahweh overflowing from the jars of clay.
